Check into Paro hotel. Evening walk in Paro town. Visit local shops. Briefing about tomorrow's Tiger's Nest trek. Early dinner and rest.
Early breakfast. Drive to Tiger's Nest base (2,280m). Start trek early to avoid crowds and heat. Optional horse ride available for first part.
Steep climb through pine forest. First viewpoint at cafeteria (45 minutes). Spectacular view of Tiger's Nest across gorge. Tea/coffee break with best photo opportunity.
Continue climb to waterfall viewpoint. Cross bridge over waterfall. Final steep stairs to monastery entrance (3,120m). Leave cameras/bags (not allowed inside).
Explore four main temples: Guru Lhakhang, Singye Samdrub, Guru Tshengye, and Kurje. See meditation cave of Guru Padmasambhava. View holy relics and butter lamps. Participate in prayer (optional).
Descend to cafeteria for lunch. Buffet lunch with view of monastery. Rest and rehydrate.
Continue descent to base. Easier downhill walk. Return to hotel. Rest and recover. Hot shower.
